Aarthi Kannan

Aarthi Kannan is a young aspiring and determined researcher who is eager to address new challenges. She is currently in the first year of her Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Sakthivel Gandhi in the Hybrid materials laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biotechnology. She received her Master’s in medical nanotechnology (5 years integrated) from SASTRA Deemed to be University, India. During her masters, she contributed in developing Mesoporous carbon-based electrochemical sensors for paraben detection in cosmetics. Her contemporary research themes are hybrid nanomaterials synthesis, refinement of materials for nano-interface and fabrication of electrochemical sensors for the detection of various toxicants. Being from the nanotechnology background, she has gained expertise and expands interdisciplinary approaches for the development of sustainable sensors in medical and environmental applications. Furthermore, she firmly believes that one who does continuous exploration and deep commitment to the research qualifies as high calibre researcher.

Nivethitha Ravikumar

Nivethitha Ravikumar is a distinguished young researcher in the field of hybrid materials and Electrochemistry.  She is a first year Ph.D. Student under the guidance of Dr. Sakthivel Gandhi in the Hybrid materials laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biotechnology. She received her Master’s in Chemistry from SASTRA Deemed to be University, India. With a solid foundation in chemistry and passion for exploring the intersection of material science and electrochemical systems, Her research themes are Electrochemistry and Hybrid materials. She is eager to explore new frontiers in this field.
